19 Aug I was on BYU-TV!
I was honored to have been interviewed on the weekly program Latter-day Profiles on BYU-TV this past Sunday. They’ve posted the video online in case you missed it.
My kids got real excited when they heard I was going to be on BYU-TV, but less excited when they learned it wasn’t Studio C.
Thanks again to Brian Howard and the crew of Latter-day Profiles for having me. I had a great time!
And thank you, everyone reading this, for your support as well. Without you, I never would of had this opportunity. It’s humbling. I can’t thank you enough.
FYI – the interview was pre-taped a while back. I still have my beard. I know some of you were worried. ;)

Posted at 03:30h, 23 SeptemberHey Ben,
Your arrangements are wonderful! I’m a guitar-nerd metal head, but I love listening to the hymns the way you do them. Thanks for sharing the tabs- they are helping me hone my skills in an uplifting way!

Posted at 14:39h, 14 OctoberJust watched this video of you on BYU-TV. It’s nice to put a spoken voice to the face and music. Someday I’ll remember the name right. Mormon Guitar.com is easy to remember. I was introduced to Mormon Guitar by my youngest son and his wife. They know I enjoy playing and came to me saying, “Dad we have something we think you will like.” That was an understatement!
That was just about the time your first CD came out. It was at the top of my Christmas wish list (of 1 thing) that a mortal being could give. I am a fan for life. Some day I’ll get up the courage to learn one of your arrangements. I’m pretty much just a chord guy.
Just wanted to let you know that even old men like me enjoy your music. My favorite is “Army of Helaman”. It is so dynamic! I share with everyone who will listen – even non-members. “Oh, you like playing guitar? (or listening to guitar music?) You gotta check this out! mormonguitar.com! Sure he’s Mormon but you gotta hear his stuff! It’s totally awesome! Start with “Army of Helaman.” It’ll blow you away.” If there is a computer close and I have the time, I’ll pull it up there and then. Or I’ll get them to pull it up on their smart phone. I should be so pushy about the gospel but where I work I’d get fired for that. Anyway, they listen – and they like it. They listen to some more. Maybe the message of the songs start to sink in – or some of the things you post with each song. Then . . . Who knows?
